yesterday marked a new era in my poker career.

I can't get too detailed now because I have physics class in 10 minutes, but I've been staked 500 dollars by a poker pro (who will stay nameless for now).

I'm playing for 50% profit cut on Full Tilt at 25nL Full Ring (this includes 50% of my newly aqcuired rakeback as well) I'm hoping to run ok and be able to discuss a larger stake within a few months.

I have been having a hell of a time beating 25nL 6max.

I killed 10nL full ring & 6max to move up in limits, beat 25nL full ring enough to reach 50nL but have backed down to try beat 25nL 6max & have decided until I handily beat it I'm not moving up, even with a decent bankroll to advance.

Time has flown by & now finals are staring me in the face, hopefully physics turn out to be as easy as the previous exams have been.

ANYWAYS, I came back to school and played a few days worth of poker before catching some standard coolers & cashing out on full tilt. I decided to try take a long break from the tables & focus on other things like school & Kels. (Didn't last long being the degenerate that I am) But a good thing about my little breaks that I take is that I spend a lot more time reading and learning about the game.

My break lasted about 2 weeks & then I had my roomate send me 20 Bucks on FTP. I played that for a bit just goofing around and went broke. Then one night I used his account to play some .5/1$ and ran his 60$ bankroll up to 180$. I split profits with him and then played 10nL on my account until I had around 300$ online. I decided to leave FTP & try the waters on Stars with a 250$ deposit. Today I removed my original deposit & will use my profits to play my way to millions :-p lol or to have fun....

I also introduced a buddy to the double or nothing SNGs on stars & he's loving them. Get 'em Palo :-p Remember the little people.

Mid August update

Figured I should update before the second half of the month because that seems to be the boring-grind-away-slowly-lose portion of my game... EVERY MONTH...

As i said in my last blog I broke my goal of 1k for July.. but then saw that somewhat crumble in the later part of the month, finishing up a lowsy 750$... grr to variance... the poker devil.

Anyways... the beginning of August has moved slower than I would like. Obviously.. But As of 2day I've managed to scrape up about 450$ in profit....

I came into july with a vision of turning 1000$ profit. Today I reached that Goal!!

My $/hour is a touch over $18/hour for the month of july.

So,

I got done with school and came home for a month, played a small portion here and there, then went back to school for a June Course and watched my roomie score 5 GRAND on two 5$ tournaments!!! Sick

I came home at the end of June determined to put in some serious hands the moth of July and I've done just that. i have flew through 25nL and am on the brink of a full transition to 50nL!! Hell yeah!

So far in July I've played 12,000 hands and scored just over 700$, at a rate of about 15.50/hour.. not a bad summer job LOL Ohh yeah, tax free ...

For 25nL i'd say that Fucking Killing the games & I hope it stays the same for 50nL.

Forget last week

Ran like crap last week & played terrible as well. I made 300$ profit first week of may but lost about 150 last week... sigh....

I picked up Poker Tracker 3 this week and took a break from playing to learn how to use it. so far i LOVE IT.. no more goofing with excell to figure profit/loss.. and i can analyze my weaknesses/leaks..

so far may has been good.

i refuse to melt down like i did last month after the first week and i'm taking beats without being an emotional time bomb. i am playing a balanced mix of 10 nl and 25nl on full tilt, mixing both 6 max and full ring. i cashed out 100 yesterday and i have a profit this month of a little over 300.

hopefully once school gets done i can continue running this well and playing this strong. my goal is to reach a 50 nl steady stream this summer. i can play it now considering my profits this year are over 1000 and my game i definitly good enough but i'm a nit and the swings at 50nl are too big for me during school.

April was a stupid month of poker that i'm glad is in the past. The first week i played a mix of 10nL and 25nL, making a profit of 200 bucks.

Then i cashed some of my roll out and decided to spend two weeks playin 50 to 100nL .. no idea why but it was fun. i ended up losing about 125 over 2 weeks which isnt bad considering the levels.

i spent this last week back at the grind and finished the month with a profit of just under 200.

hit the 9 man 25nl hard today and made a quick 90. hope i keep rolling this month without stupid brain meltdowns.

About half way through the month ni started watchin some videos on pokertrikz.com

they have helped my game tons.

i played 10nL this month and made just over 50 buyins. I have enough of of a bankroll to steady grind 25nL in April. Here's to 50 more buy ins ?!?!

Well, Im up a little over 200 this month overall and i have been a losing player in the tournament area. i'm killing the cash game but i can't get a good finish in a donkament, i seem to finish right around the bubble, give or take a few spots and it's damn frustrating. i have busted every tourny in the last few days with my chips in the middle and me being ahead.

Been playin small sessions of cash over the past week and have cashed for small amounts in some cheap tournies. keep losing that one big race that will put me in great position.

Recovering off a tilt-O

I was gunna log in & relax 3 nights ago, just play a few hundred hands and i got hit by the bad beat/cooler truck. I still haven't learned how to control my tilt either.

I lost w/ every AA and KK QQ i had all in races, twice to the same guy who had 77 both times :(

but i've recovered from this tilt and am almost back to even for the month even though i was up 45 :(

Couple more decent sessions & I'll be back on top.

I try playing 500 hands at a time. that way i can stay focused and then take a break.

Satellite to a cash

I used my full tilt points to satellite to the Daily double B tournament. I didn't make the A tournament & they are a crapshoot so I just played B.

I ran KQ in AQ w/ 50% of the field left and was left with 800 in chips. 3 hands later i got 46 spades & doubled up w/ a river 6 vs Ace Ten. A few hands later I got 910 daimonds & rivered a straigh in a race vs A2 "same guy as Ace ten lol" He was pissed.

Next orbit in the BB i check to turn & hit the nuts str8 w/ 89. 66 UTG slow played his set to the death & I'm at 10k in chips w/ 300 players left -top 180 paid.

I went card dead & got caught trying to pick up blinds twice. Finished in 175th and got 16 bucks, pure profit since satellite was free!

I've been playing 5/10cent cash games w/ a max buyin of 10 bucks.. the exact game i made a rule to not play due to rake percentages but watever.

4 tabled 9 person games for an hour and climber the bankroll to 108$

Today I came out strong & am back up to 94$ bankroll.

As I write this, I'm playing a 10/25 cent cash game. Today I played a 5$ dubl stack, a 3$ KO and another 5$ tourny. I busted them all & ran poorly earlier in cash games. The turny from yesterday was a bust but i did manage to get back to even in a cash game before quitting.

Am currently down 18 since beginning this blog, but we will try swing back up tonight.

Today I started fresh again

I had a buddy create an excel for me to monitor win/loss percentage on a daily basis & I set up some rules for my current bankroll which I started fresh with 100$ Profit that i cashed out earlier this week.

Only play 5$ turnies & less. Can't play cash currently because I hate 5/10 cent. The Rake is too high & play isn't fun But my roll won't tolerate higher.

Gunna play the 3$KO Tonight and maybe the other 3$KO that starts later on. I'll update tonight/tomorrow on my cashes :P

I've been reading posts by Chris Moorman( a poker God) and Jack Powell (another V strong player) for the last six months and I decided I'd start posting about my poker game.

I began playing online 2 years ago with play money while I was in therapy for a broken neck. I'm still wheelchair bound and I attend school at Minnesota State University Marshall, majoring in Biology & Chemistry. I spend almost all my free time playin' cards online, I play some live but stacking other's chips takes so long with my condition. :-P

I started playing for money about a year and a half ago by putting 50 bucks on FTP and playing 5$ SNG's. It lasted a few weeks until I went on mad tilt one day and drained it. I have since deposited 50 dollars on FTP and AP too many times to count, and have also withdrew amounts of 250$ at least 2 times and amounts of 125-200 at least 5 times. I am the type of player who puts 50$ on, runs it up to 180, then takes off 120$ after a couple bad beats 0nly to go broke on the $ left in my account an redeposit 50$

All in all I'd say I've learned to be a break-even player after the rake. I play FTP under Alias quadfive & AP as Qu4d
